New England equaled their best victory streak since the Tom Brady period as they defeated AFC East rivals the Jets by 13 points in professional football

First-year standout TreVeyon Henderson led the way with three touchdowns as the Patriots secured an eight-game winning streak for the first time since legendary quarterback Tom Brady's final season with the team in 2019

Quarterback Maye passed for 281 yards and a TD, connecting on 25 out of 34 attempts

The win bolsters the New England's lead at the summit of the AFC East as they moved to nine wins and two defeats, with the Jets bottom after slipping to a 2-8 mark

The Jets had taken the lead at Foxborough with quarterback Justin Fields rushing for a five-yard TD to finish the Jets' opening drive

But the Patriots fought back in the second quarter as Henderson rushed for two seven-yard touchdowns before the ball carrier grabbed a reception from Maye at the back of the endzone in the middle of the third period to push the score to 21 to 7

"It was a key occasion for him delivering, and it's been fantastic for him to keep earning playing time," Maye commented on Henderson. "He wants to be excellent."

Fields threw to Metchie in the latter part of the third quarter to reduce the lead for the visitors but Borregales booted a two field goals in the final period as the home side sealed the triumph
