Chopper Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Shoreline

A helicopter flying over a well-attended California shoreline abruptly started spinning uncontrollably, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a row of palm fronds as onlookers watched.

Recordings shared on social media show the chopper beginning to twirl near the shoreline then descending towards the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a steps close to the coastal road.

First Aid Details

Local firefighters stated five people were rushed to the hospital including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.

Three individuals on the road were injured. Information on their condition were still under review.

The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
