British Airways will offer no-cost fast onboard connectivity through satellite deal

Travelers flying with the airline can soon access quick wifi in the air at no cost after a recent deal involving the billionaire's space firm.

The carrier revealed that this no-cost, “fast and dependable” internet provision from the satellite provider will be accessible for customers in economy, premium economy, and first class as of next month.

Widespread Implementation Over Several Carriers

The holding firm of British Airways, International Airlines Group, confirmed it had reached an deal with SpaceX for providing internet access across 500-plus planes across its carriers, such as Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, plus the low-cost airline.

British Airways stated that the rollout for the system was included in a seven billion pound “modernization” initiative that will provide lag-free connectivity service for passengers starting at boarding to landing, including when in flight across seas or far-off locations.
